Went to the ER this morning due to foot pain in my left foot that started overnight (thankfully background pain so I could sleep)but by morning I couldn’t put any weight on it due to severe pain and all the veins were popped. Since my family has a history of heart problems, I thought it could be a blood clot. In the end, after x-rays, it appears I have a very rare accessory bone (os intermetatarseum) that must have become irritated and inflamed. Doc wasn’t sure how long before it calms down but I have Meloxicam to help bring down the inflammation. Also found out at the same time that there’s arthritis on my Achilles tendon that could cause it to snap should I feel the need to sprint or in some way overwork it.
My lungs are burning. Here in Phoenix the temperature is still 110°F when the sun goes down at 8pm. I gotta run for my mental health so in 110 we go. Today I finished my water bottle on the walk from my apartment to the start of the trail.
