If this resonated, or ruined your evening, hit like and subscribe - more doom, every month, guaranteed.

While I recognize this line at the end is tongue-in-cheek, it should also be recognized that the author is making a living from negativity. He is incentivized to downplay anything positive, and highlight anything that supports his doom'n'gloom narrative.

Adrian works in the public sector. You can of course call us being in overshoot a narrative, rather than a physical fact. It won't make any difference.

The author doesn't make a living from negativity. As it says in the article, they work in the public sector (as a complex systems analyst), and their substack is free. Unless you think being a complex systems analyst is an inherently negative career?

Instead of saying that they have financial incentives to be disingenuous, I suggest discussing whether or not what is said has merit and relevance.
