You can actually find them in many European countries. They are often used for ecological reasons (maintaining vegetation in difficult to reach areas). They are independent and can withstand rain and cold.

They're just absolutely awesome. There's some living a few villages over from my hometown in a renaturalized bog. And they look so adorable!

Was really surprised by this one. I've been to Scotland twice now and only ever saw one highland cow there, but now I've stumbled over one no more than 2h from home, living the dream on an alpine meadow

There's a small herd living at walking distance from my house, I often see them (and take pictures of them too, of course).
