Could we get a collective refutation of Keith Knight's '64 Arguments Against Democratic Socialism' from the people of the Lemmy Fediverse?
If each person refutes a single argument, we could collectively address all 64 of Keith Knight's points & compile the refutations into one master document.

No body wants to watch 4 hours of someone without complete context saying shit. From a chemical engineering perspective, with cheap enough energy we could extract carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and turn it into $0.50/gal gasoline.
So the question becomes, what determines the cost of energy? The answer is simple: Energy return on energy investment (EROEI).
If an energy source has a return of 50 or greater, then we can afford modern civilization. If the return is less; then we are going to have serious problems.
Energy is not a supply problem but one of reliability, fault tolerance and most importantly EROEI.
As the higher the EROEI, the more wealthy a country is. So investing in science, math and engineering is the key.
I figured we could work together to refute it, with each of us presenting a counterargument. I don't know, I just thought it was a cool idea.
It is a fine idea and you already have a refutation for his first point. If you put timestamps for his points, it reduces the search time and if you give summaries, it would allow people to quickly get to the point that they want to address.
