New game, we all take a drink every time somebody makes a post asking when the beta is coming. Last person to die from alcohol poisoning gets access to the beta.
Pretty sure the dev is just one guy who also has a life (job, family, friends) outside of app development. I'm sure he's eager to get the beta out there in the wild, but doesn't want to deal with tons of bug reports for issues he already knows about.
I'm excited to be able to use Boost too and Rubén has been pretty good about giving updates every few weeks even if he hasn't met the timelines he was hoping for. I would guess that we will hear from him again soon.
For bonus points, here is what I think will happen: The dev will try to finish it up this weekend, then will run into a few remaining issues to deal with on Monday. Then finally Tuesday it's out

Boost always had the slowest updates even at the time of Reddit so it's normal.
