I'm just excited for more people to come here

Hey, that's me.

I tried after the API bs a couple years ago, but there wasn't a lot of traffic so I just went back to lurking sans account.

After this BS I'm fully on here now. Fuck that propaganda machine.

Well, until lemmy gets the superniche, hyperlocal communities that some of us look at on reddit, that’s going to be a problem…

I built mine 3 years ago. I still maintain my reddit sub, and this one isn't very active but, it's still here. I try to post stuff here and there so when people do migrate, they'll have something to look at and interact with.

Listen I'm at least POSTING in the lancer ttrpg community here Edit: point being, even if I got no traction, making an effort to get community bubbling up in those spaces before resigning yourself to looking on reddit is the only way any of them will get started

Well, that was the push I needed to start searching for more sources for information. Getting cockblocked as I’m trying to learn is just not something I’ve ever expected to happen.

It's almost like they don't want you to be in Reddit when you are popping at work, they are now working with tech to make capital happy. More units pers labour!

Reddit has removed the option for account holders to default to old Reddit. Reason this was good since not all reddit links go to old.Reddit by default.

Every machine I turn on which defaults to the new Reddit, and doesn’t let me roll back, gets logged out of.

I only have 2 devices left before I stop using Reddit.

I haven’t been able to log in from my office, using a cloud browser over a vpn, for several days. Different error message every time.

I don't know off the top of my head but any third party sites that might have access to reddits past posts so I can Google "how do I fix this thing" and get the proper reddit information

They're trying to get humans off Reddit and replace them with bots. They make money from ad revenue, and people just aren't as guaranteed to click through as much as bots can be programmed to.

Curiously, gaming the ad revenue system is the same reason Musk won't ever do anything about the bots on Twitter. Well, that and they stroke his ego.

reddit is a psyop packed full of bots whose only purpose is manufacturing consensus and astroturf propped up by idiots and bots
