Tribunal rules woman not unlawfully discriminated against over beliefs
A woman who claims she was unlawfully discriminated against by her former employer for her beliefs on sex and gender has had her case dismissed by an employment tribunal.
Sara Morrison, who believes people cannot change their biological sex, had brought a case against Belfast Film Festival (BFF) where she worked as an inclusion and audience development co-ordinator.

Morrison had received funding for her case from Harry Potter author JK Rowling.
During the speech she made at the rally, Morrison outlined concerns around protecting women's safety and privacy.
She made comments about keeping men out of women's spaces and criticised a number of local women's organisations.
The rally in Belfast city centre was also addressed by Kellie-Jay Keen - a campaigner for women's rights.
A counter event by local LGBT groups and activists opposed to her views was held at the same time nearby.
Morrison submitted that following her attendance at the rally, she was subjected to online abuse and harassment, which she reported to the Police Service of Northern Ireland.

During Jim Crow in the American South, thousands of black men were lynched due to white women's concerns about safety and privacy. They weren't the ones holding the ropes. But many black men died simply because a white woman thought he looked at them a bit too friendly. Black women faced segregated bathrooms, justified based on the safety and privacy of white women.
How do you think things like whites-only bathrooms were justified? Do you think a proud white man went in front of a crowd and said he was afraid to share a bathroom with a black man? Of course not. It was all sold as protecting white women and children.
In Jim Crow, the physical safety, well being, and often the very lives of black people were stripped away, often justified to satisfy the irrational racist fears of white women. White men certainly did most of the dirty work, and often white women were simply cited as an excuse, rather than being active instigators with agency. But the pattern persists. The very real physical safety of one group sacrificed to satisfy the mere emotions and irrational fears of a more powerful one.
It's socially acceptable to punch JK. I think the first person to do it would become a hero, and would quite possibly retire very happy after all the donations.
Don't let these people feel safe in our countries. They are not.
