A statement with proof of life or one more in the style of the leader of Iran?

News outlets like CBC and Associated Press should do their due diligence and actually investigate and report. A “statement” isn’t proof of anything. The headline should read “Representative for Sen Mitch McConnell issues statement claiming he was hospitalized after a fall”. Don’t use words like “McConnell says” unless one of your reporters actually saw the words coming from his mouth.
