clearly link is genderfluid. when hes wearing masc clothes he uses he/him, when shes wearing fem clothes she uses she/her, when theyre wearing enby clothes they use they/them. we just happen to see him wearing mostly masc clothes to save the world. in her domestic life with zelda between crises they probably wear more fem and enby clothes. i bet zelda loves to dress her up all pretty.

I feel like this needs to be pointed out because it's constantly misinterpreted, but Link is the only one being reincarnated as the spirit of the hero, Zelda is part of a matrilineal bloodline, and Ganon is literally the same person in every game, aside from four swords when they attempted to resurrect him and he came out wrong

Its very funny to me that these days Link is the genderfluid one of much fan canon obsession.

Back in my day, Zelda just dressed up as a ninja sometimes and was a mysterious ninja badass, smoke bombs and everything!

It must have been a pretty tight binder, fooled me!

Presumably also must have done a fair deal of voice training as well, as Link doesn't even figure it out untill ... they(?) literally flash him.

that could also imply that zelda is trans femme and was boy moding as sheik, and just using her masc voice.

... would the single word 'both' be a vague enough yet also accurate enough answer?

Well of course. It's unclear whether the title deadnames them or not but that's clearly Zelda.

Personally, I've never seen Link and Zelda in the same place. The name of the games is Zelda so obv they're the main character???
