Hi folks! First of all, it’s great that piefed.zip is back up, thanks to @[email protected] (as always) for being proactive in protecting the instance and its users.

Unfortunately I already deleted my lemmy.zip account so I wasn’t able to log in to see what’s up, although I did see the announcement post.

Can anyone summarize what happened? All I know is a couple of vulnerabilities were irresponsibly disclosed, but I don’t know the details of the issues found, what parts of piefed were particularly affected, how severe they were, and who disclosed them. Also, are there any indications of our instance getting compromised because of those vulns?
