This violates the First, Fourth, Fifth, and Fourteenth amendments. Every politician who supported this should be imprisoned for violating the civil rights of every person in the US.

Also violates their Oath of Office they pledged when being sworn in.

They're trying to overturn it and it's not guaranteed to be reaffirmed with this current court.

they ruled on it on a 10th amendment basis. the ninth won't be able to supercede it, since at the time the question was whether the state has the right.

I get targeting this toward passengers... maybe. But drivers?

Pretty sure that drivers are asked to present their license in approximately 99.999999% of traffic stops. And there are already existing laws to deal with the situation if they refuse to do so after an officer's lawful order. So this law's requirement telling drivers to ID themselves seems a bit redundant.
