Jambalaya. Soul food isn’t called that for nothing. And there’s plenty of food outside the broad definition of soul food that qualifies the feeling. Like any pasta — lasagne (look at its effects on Garfield), baked macaroni and cheese, baked ziti with sausage and peppers (though I prefer rigatoni here).

Although more recently; frozen grapes! my kid brother told me to do that and WOW sooo good. I'm almost tempted to go out and get some now lol

  • Cantaloupe
  • Watermelon
  • Chocolate milk
  • Plain iced green tea with milk (especially comforting when I’m on the verge of a meltdown, idky)
  • Sliced fresh garden or locally grown tomatoes

I’m sure there’s more but that’s off top of my head.
