You're going to pay more because they can't just swap out bluetooth, wi-fi, and sound chips for cheaper ones during production and shortages like they can with Windows (why 'works on my machine' is a stupid thing to say). Vendors also have to charge more due to more returns, reviews (from a whiny vocal minority), and tech support load.
