Okra with chopped tomato, onion, lots of garlic and some feta.
Okras are like green been, they to be cleaned with water and chop off their head, let it a bit in water with vinegar and cook them in the pot with all the ingredients mentioned above + olive oil, pepper and salt.
Okras can be cooked with meat as well, starting always with the meat, and then adding the okras.
Lovely food that makes me escape out of the ordinary every day food.

I always find the strange slime that seems to be produced by okra to be off putting.
The 'slime' is a great thickener. I use okra in my curries. Had some for dinner.
Chop it into smaller pieces, like 5mm coins, pan fry in a modest amount of oil (not too hot) until the slime is gone and just starts to brown, and add garlic and salt. Amazing.
Works great in gumbo, results in a wonderfully thick stew
Yea the slime is a bit off, it I don't mind it.
It doesn't even look like you've finished preparing it. Nice clump.

This is a dish my mom would make us as kids. It's effectively the same thing with the feta.
I don't object. I ordered a feta salad from a Greek restaurant once:
Everything about that salad is offensive.
Looks like a DIY salad kit, LOL!
At least they didn't skimp on the cheese, though.
Weird.
Better than a plate of lasagna tho.
