I have to agree with recursivethinking. The green and orange pair nicely, but it looks like they'd be better served with a solid white shirt in this caseβ€”let the colors do the talking without extra visual commentary, as it were.

Orange and green look great. That shirt clashes but I can't tell why.

Edit: may be the way the photo came out but the shirt presents as light blue

Lighting wasn't great but still, grey might not have been the best decision πŸ˜…

First, the colors are on point and work super well. The only thing to tweak is the patterns. Typically the "rule" I use is that either the shirt or the tie can be patterned but not both. I break the rule sometimes depending on the patterns, so it's not something written in stone. In this case, I'd say the tie and shirt are the same "degree" of patterning, so it feels a bit off to a trained eye. Most people from my experience will just see the colors and say "Damn that's nice" and not really see anything else.

Tangentially, where'd you get that waistcoat?! It looks amazing!

Appreciate the feedback! I got the waistcoat from Amazon πŸ™ˆ most everything I own is fake cheap clothes πŸ’Έ

That's the way to do it. Buy cheap, durable, decent looking clothing. Then have it tailored and it'll look great.

Have been doing this for years! Find a good tailor, and they can make "off the rack" look like you paid much more for a piece than you did.

I haven't found a tailor i've really clicked with out here, but i knew a fantastic one 20 years ago in Austin. She did mostly wedding dresses and when i popped in the shop she was surprised (she did a friend's wedding dress). I looked sharp as fuck.

Then I got married and now my wife and I compete to see who cooks better. (the cats decide. i don't know how as they don't eat people food, but we have made them the judges) I have gained so much (happy) weight

Orange green is super nice. The Gorey shirt is a bit to stripey for that wonderful tie. Don't do that please, this is an a+ outfit why not go for s tier?

This is the way I have to dress for work (I get people drunk on a very high level). And I really like it, always nice to see it done right.

Would love to see your fits! (if you're comfortable posting) πŸ‘

You in the southern hemisphere? I'd never wear something like this without literally cooking myself

I love the necktie and the green whatever.

Yes thank you. I'm stuck with the french gilet and Idk if it works in english.

I like the colors a lot. Such a bold tie really works well with the vest.

The overall outfit would be too busy for me, but if you like then it's fine. I'm not much of a fan of the white collar on a shirt of a different pattern or color. The first thing I might try would be replacing the shirt with a solid white or grey shirt.

I like a pop orange here. 🍊 If you'd consider a tweak, then maybe try a plain white shirt. I presume that the look would be great with it.
