Celebrating July 4th in DC? Officials say even experienced locals need a plan
Fireworks not starting until 10:30-11:00 pm, but metro staying open until 2 am. Stay seriously hydrated (not with alcohol).

In college, we used to get a bottle of G2 Gatorade, chug a quarter of it, and fill the bottle back up with cheap vodka. Avoids most of the hangover, at least when you are 20-something years old.
Ah youth 😄

Oh boy. dumbass is going to give a 45 minute speech at 10 pm.
For those of us who would normally be watching this on tv, the Capitol Fourth concert will be Friday, with fireworks piped in from…Mt Vernon. And on Saturday, PBS is airing a shindig from Williamsburg, including their fireworks. (And then we can switch over to Macy's re broadcast from NYC.)
