Grocery stores just AI music now?

I'm pretty sure Foodlands has switched to a playlist of AI songs in the store I go to in Adelaide. The songs often have some familiarity but are things I haven't heard before. There are also more remixes sprinkled in that are surely licensed remixes.

I don't mind shit songs in the grocery store. I just don't want ai shit songs.

Is this happening elsewhere?

I can't say I've noticed, but have you tried using Shazam or a similar music identifying app? Even if that turns up no results, that's probably an indicator that it's GenAI (assuming the sample you record is clear enough).
