OnePlus 7Pro. Tempted for foldable but actually seeing what Nothing Phone 2 will be like. Beginning to think #eSim is needed for my future device
Also on a 7 pro here. It's peak smartphone. If it ever breaks I'm more likely to attempt a repair or get another second hand 7 pro than to "upgrade" to a newer device.
7T Pro is a marginal upgrade but didn't get launched everywhere. I have it in the UK and the 7 and 7T Pro are some of Oneplus's peak. The 11 5G is great hardware but I'm not touching that os with a 10ft bargepole. I'm also not updating past Android 11 on the 7T Pro.
Samsung or pixel fold? Which one is calling you? Everyone i know with the samsung fold loves it.
More held back by price than brands. Perhaps see what OnePlus, Oppo, and other manufacturers come up with to push the prices down.
Have A Surface Duo as a secondary work device now and like the landscape form factor
Had a OnePlus 7 Pro for 4 years and just switched it out for a Pixel 7 Pro last week. A lot of things to like on the pixel, but the experience is definitely tinged with regret. The OnePlus 7 Pro is such a great device, I had never kept a phone more than 18 months before and that one I kept 4 years and still felt it was fine, I just wanted better photography and an AOD.
The biggest surprise with the pixel is how locked down it is. I assumed getting a Google phone would mean it was as open as possible, but it's probably the least customizable Android phone I've had. Maybe I should have gotten an S23 ultra, but I hate all that Samsung crap that they put on those phones and don't let you take off.
I'm not one for photography so not too bothered by the latest and greatest.
Op7p has the whole screen though and think that's why many choise to stick with it and run roms to extend it too
Pixel line want to go the Apple way (closed?) but lost out to Samsung and others UI when they didn't pay attention to hardware so many years back when they could, I feel.
Beauty of Android is one can make any device feel like another one. Just have to know where to look.
Xperia 1V. Yes I paid flagship money for a Sony phone because of the headphone jack. No it doesn't overheat.
I imported an Xperia 10 IV about a month after launch. It's a brilliant form factor, but I'm very sad that it doesn't look like sailfish will ever arrive for it.
Nevertheless, I'm glad I bought it - and like you say, the headphone jack gets used frequently enough that you'd miss it if it wasn't there.
Where did you import your Xperia from? I got myself pretty sold on getting one but totally forgot that Sony don't sell phones in Aus anymore. Such a shame. I really want an sd card slot & headphone jack.

Fellow Pixel 6a user here (with Graphene OS)! My gripes are mainly the 'rainbow effect' of the screen and the fingerprint sensor that doesn't work 10% of the time.
I am on a Pixel 7 Pro with GrapheneOS. I am absolutely happy with that device. The battery lasts about 3 days for me. I like the work the GrapheneOS team is doing. All those privacy and security enhancements are great to have.
Absolutly, thats something bad about it. I decided to not use biometric date on my phone, so thats not a problem for me, but you have a valid point with that.
does it still not work if you put the screen protector on and only then register the fingerprint?
On Google Pixel sub, they often complain about battery. Is the three days because of Graphene OS?
It might be because of Google Play sandboxing. I have it running and battery life seems to be worse. Not a deal breaker though.
I did not use the stock rom other the then to enable oem unlocking. So, I have no idea.

Honestly, I don't think I could never go "back" to a 3rd party Android device. The hardware might be great, but the clean software and fast software upgrades is was sold me back in the Pixel 3A days.
Same here, though a few peeps here posted about running GrapheneOS on the 6a and I might look at that soon.
It's been quite a seamless experience for me. Installation involved clicking buttons and waiting. I highly recommend if you want to move away from the Google ecosystem.
Grapheneos pixel 6a
Pixel 7a. I recently moved to this from a Fold3. If the pixel fold has any sort of dex-like functionality, the pixel fold 2 will probably be my next phone.
Curious, why did you decide to switch from Fold 3 to Pixel 7a?
The main motivator was that I found myself using the outside screen in the fold 90% of the time and it is not a good screen to use 90% of the time.
There were also some software issues with some apps. Google messages, for example, would crash if I tried using it on the open screen. While I recognize that's a error on the app development side, so few apps are being properly developed for foldables, it was a legitimate issue.
The final deciding factor was repair. I'm very lucky to have a Samsung store near y, but when I needed that exterior display replaced, 3 ubreakifix locations were unable to service the phone for various reasons.
Pixel 6a running GrapheneOS. I was expecting to waste a weekend setting it up but I've been blown away with how good the user experience is. The only pain point I've had is not being able to run my banking app without Google services installed.
Right now I have a separate profile with sandboxes Google services installed which is unfortunate but gets the job done!
Galaxy A53 5G - Main phone. Galaxy A13 5G - Secondary phone.
Redmi K30 Pro. Love the pop up camera and the full screen display with no stupid notch or hole punch. Have no plans to replace it any time soon since I just replaced the battery and everything else is still good as new.

Currently running the Xiaomi.eu version of MIUI. Had SparkOS on it for a while a few months ago. Like them both for different reasons, and may go back to Spark at some point in the future.
S21U. Haven't found anything super compelling to upgrade to yet.
I have an s23 ultra and I love it to bits. Has everything I could possibly want on a phone. Transferred my mathematica license to my phone in my linux environment
Z fold 3. It was not worth the price, but it's not a bad phone by any means.
I've seen a surprising amount of people carrying around a Fold 3 where I work.
Redmi Note 10. Have had it for two years without much issue, but have a bit of an itch to check out a Pixel 7a.
S23+. It's a downgrade in most ways from my Note 8... I don't like it very much. Screen looks worse. Glass scratches super easily. Software is buggy. The camera is atrocious. 9/10 photos I take of my kids comes out blurry.
I'm pretty disappointed overall considering it's supposed to be Samsung's flagship. It'll probably be the last Samsung phone I buy and I've been very happy with their phones in the past.

Ads? Now that's a curious one. I've been using my S20FE for over a year and haven't noticed any ads besides things like a banner in settings that introduces a new functionality.
What ads were you seeing?
I bought the unlocked version directly from Samsung in Canada.
My phone had ads in all of the Samsung apps. When I opened the Galaxy app store to update my Samsung apps, it was FULL of ads and popups. It kept redirecting me to sponsored stuff, despite me just trying to update my Samsung apps. The Galaxy store app also kept sending me notifications for trying out new games and stuff.
Then when I long pressed on the home screen, I could change wallpaper, widgets, and "themes". Pressing the themes took me to the app store where it just tried to shove more paid stuff down my throat.
While I think the theme store is a good idea, since it was a prominent button on the home screen, I just feel like it should've taken me to a page with a couple built in Samsung themes, with a button that says "get more from the theme store". Powering up my $2000 CAD phone and instantly being thrown into a store to buy stuff soured my experience.
Samsung will soon stop showing ads in its stock apps
For comparison, my Pixel 7 Pro has no ads. All of my Google apps don't shove any ads down my throat. I have also never gotten a notification from the Play Store about newly released apps or sponsored apps. My phone also never came with preinstalled bloatware like Amazon, OneDrive, Facebook, etc. My Pixel was also $700 LESS than my Samsung.
Galaxy Z Fold 3. Loving the folding phone life, very interested in moving over to the pixel fold, probably not this year but maybe for the 2.
I use the Fold 4 and like it a lot. Being able to just open my phone to a mini tablet is fire.
Only downside is not every app works all that well with it so I'm hoping the Pixel fold sells well and encourages more support.
And sells well enough to get more versions. I was a Pixel user before this and the Samsung experience is kinda eh. Their app store keeps trying to push apps via push notifications that install if I so much as click on the notification and it's driving me crazy.
I think google are pushing tablet support more in general given that they've released a tablet as well. Can't quite remember but I think they're doing something like putting apps that don't have tablet forms into a cropped window like that 16:9 mode you can choose to encourage developers to support tablets better.
Same here. I like foldables but the battery on Z Fold 3 is just garbage. Also, the inner screens has developed micro fractures in the middle 😐

Pixel 4a, best phone ove ever had. This is the last year for OS updates so I gave to either roll with an unsupported OS or move to something like Lineage

Samsung Galaxy S7 (Exynos) with lots of replacement parts running LineageOS. Still a solid daily driver.
Sadly there are very little modern options of suitable small Android phones.
Oneplus 10 pro. Was planning on moving away from Oneplus, but I got it cheap.
Sony Xperia 1 IV over here. Probably going to upgrade to the 1 V once the price drops around December, but tbh the overheating issues haven't really been that bad on my end.
S20+ longest I've had a phone. Will keep until software support ends. So probably getting s24 or maybe pixel 8
I've got a OnePlus 11 and it's pretty great so far!
Recently got an s23, coming from pixel 5. There's good and bad. The hardware feels a lot more premium. Software side there's so much more customisation on the galaxy, but the pixel everything is so smart out of the box. I keep coming across little things that made life so easy on the pixel which are missing from Samsung.
I've got a Z3 Galaxy Fold.
Funnily enough I think the way it's messing with the Jerboa app as it keeps logging me out when I switch from front to unfolded mode.
Shit... I was wondering why it seems to lose my login sometimes, you might have just answered why.
Razer Phone 2. I probably should get something newer, but I need something rootable at a bare minimum, and preferably not Samsung.
I'm on the Pixel 7, I'm pretty happy with it.
Oneplus 6T. The screen is starting to come loose, so I'm guessing it only has a few more months. I'll probably get Google Pixel.
Pixel is quirky but not too bad. the fingerprint sensor is the worst part :(
My 6T lasted five years, pretty good phone but the battery finally is giving up. Pixel 7 is an awesome replacement. The fingerprint sensor on the pixel has about the same error rate as the 6T for me.

How do you like Graphene OS?
It's alright. There's a few but, but overall I like it. The only thing I don't like is my bank (Sofi) and motorcycle (Geico) insurance apps don't work. I can do that online so now worried and I spend 9n my credit card (capital one) so I don't really worry about how much is in my bank.

Same! This was my first brand new, pre-ordered phone. Got it day one and I love it. I've only had two issues: rarely, the volume buttons stop working only for the volume adjustment; I can still screenshot with them. Second, the haptic feedback for the keyboard will randomly stop working; again, other haptic sources still work. Both just require a quick restart, which I should be doing more often anyway. Besides those tiny and weird bugs, it's been perfect.
That's a weird bug about the volume key. Can't say that I've noticed that. I've heard that the volume button can fall out, but obviously this physical issue isn't the case for you, as you can still use it to screen capture.
When you restart the phone, does the volume button control the volume again?
Yup, a restart fixes both of those bugs. It's very strange, slightly annoying, but ultimately is easy to fix and has only happened three or four times. Same with the key kard haptics, three or four times maybe. Both started somewhat recently, maybe two months ago if I had to guess.
Xiaomi Note 10 Pro. It was inexpensive and does everything I need it to do.
I've been rocking a Xiaomi Mi 9t Pro for the past few years. I've run a few different Android variants and have been really happy with Evolution at the moment. I honestly don't know what would make me upgrade. This phone still easily lasts a day and a half on one charge and has all the features I'd want (headphone jack).
Nothing Phone 1. Pretty happy with it.
Loved my og Pixel. Great phone, and I would have used it longer if it wasn't stolen :(

I bought a Pixel 1 3 months ago just for the Google Photos Unlimited backup such an insane feature. You should buy one if you backup to your NAS and Google Photos at the same time !

Had Fold 3 since launch and it's been amazing!
Sony Xperia 5 IV, refused to get a phone without a headphone jack and hate the annoying cut outs for front facing cameras that pretty much every modern phone has. I much prefer the straight bezels across the edges that my Xperia has and it also has the added plus of allowing for the front facing stereo speakers.
This would be my upgrade of choice but it feels a bit overpriced.
Redmi K20 Pro (or Mi 9T Pro). Running Evolution X A13. Love it still. Probably next Pixel if they make it compact as I desperately wish for a small phone

I have a OnePlus 9Pro, pretty good experience, the SD 888 chip isn't as efficient as it should be however.
Fairphone 4, and after a while using it I don't think I'll go back to mainstream non-repairable phones anymore
Oneplus 7T Pro. Though I watch a lot of media on it and love the design of a clean screen with no punch hole, I'm extremely tempted by the Zenfone 10. Will await the launch on 29th June. I am aching for a smaller, lighter flagship. The battery on this is dying though performance is largely still great, camera quality is so-so and I've cracked my screen. It's getting old now and it's time for a replacement
Pixel 6. Been great for me since release!
Currently rocking a Samsung Galaxy S21 FE. Battery life is not too shabby, and they have even recently improved with the latest security patch. Performance, camera, media consumption, etc., are all pretty great foe the price I got this phone for. Really glad that it will be getting more Android updates for a while.
Galaxy Note 10+
Galaxy A32 4G (2021). Alright camera & specs, 3.5" audio jack, dedicated μSDXC port, DS/DS, FM radio. Decent price point. Dropped OneUI for NovaLauncher.
The most annoying thing about getting it was the fact the 5G version is a completely different phone- different dimensions & all. But shops didn't seem to realise this. They stocked exclusively the 4G phone (fine by me: it's specced better) but the 5G peripherals. So I had to go online to get case etc.
currently using an S22, next phone will likely be one I can install a custom ROM on. perhaps a pixel
Z4 Flip. I like the smaller footprint and since I don't take a lot of pictures I don't mind the downgrade in camera from my previous S22. And no, the fold don't bother me.

It's still too fine to replace, although it's the first phone of which I cracked the screen.
Chose it for the reasonableness of it at the time, was like 200€ new, with microSD, unlockable bootloader, had lineageOS support and still microUSB, as I still don't even have a hand full of usb-c devices.
Lineageos motorola one 5g ace. However the charging port is being fickle so i will be replacing it in the next month or so with the oneplus nord n200. Were it not for the charging port i would keep the moto and be very happy. First phone i have ever had start to fail like that. I have backed up all my data onto my old pixel 3a xl just in case the moto just wont charge one day when i plug it in.

S23. I had been using a Pixel 4a previously and was hesitant to use a Samsung phone because of all the hate One UI gets online, but I'm quite happy with the switch. The "bloat" is nowhere as bad as people make it out to be, and some of it actually very useful imo, like the side menu, much better multi-window, game mode, and routines. Expensive af compared to the 4a though.
Pixel 6a - was happily using a Pixel 5a for the past ~2 years until it had a spontaneous motherboard failure 3 weeks ago 🙃. Google replaced it with a 6a, I'm still annoyed the 5a can become a brick with no warning but I'm very happy with the 6a with GrapheneOS so far and plan to stick with it until the OS updates stop.

The S23 Ultra. Left the S22+ because of how bad the battery life was (thanks Qualcomm) but loving my S23U.

Same here. Using a Pixel 6a but really hoping for more manual control in the camera app. The Xperia 1 V looks really good this generation, but then you're missing out on the excellent stock camera the Pixels are known for.
Pixel 7 Pro on 14 beta on tablet DPI, awaiting my Pixel Fold.
What do you think of it? I'm currently on an old note 9. I'd like a better camera but struggling to part with the SD card slot and 3.5mm jack. I like having my music with me and have a lot of wired headphones 😃
I'm also here on a Pixel 7, lots of my die hard android friends are also on Pixels as well.
I moved from the Note to a Pixel 1 and haven't looked back. I kept the Pixel 1 until it would not turn on anymore. I just feel in love with the simple clean Android install. After that I got a Pixel 4XL and a few months later my wife finally gave in and I got her a Pixel 5.
A couple of months ago my wife dropped her 5 and just cracked the shit out of her screen. So I ordered her a Pixel 7, which she loves. Unfortunately not even a week later my Pixel 4 XL died. It won't hold a charge without being plugged in. I didn't want to spring for two new phones so close together, so I grabbed my wife's old S8. I couldn't take it. All the stupid Samsung specific apps. The inability to remove Facebook or Bigsby drove me nuts. I ended up just using her Pixel 5, broken screen and all over the S8. Hoping to get enough cash to order a 7 pro for myself soon.
I'll be sure to let everyone know when I do order a 7, because of history repeats itself like with my last two Pixel purchases, the Pixel 8 will be announced the next day.
Mine is a Pixel 3 XL. Not sure if anyone is using an older Pixel at the moment in this sub

Pixel 6a, got it after my second Z Flip 4's screen started peeling.
Right now I'm using a Google Pixel 6 Pro. I was hoping to get the Pixel Fold, but it isn't launching in Canada, so not sure if I wait for a Pixel Fold generation that does or pull the trigger on the Z Fold 5 when it comes out.
Pixel 6 Pro. I'll probably get the Pixel Fold over the 8 Pro if there are good sales this fall.

I had to change the front camera.
And battery is draining quite fast now.

Apart from my first Android phone, which was a ZTE Blade, I've had only Nexuses or Pixels. While replacing/repairing phones I've briefly used OnePlus and Samsung, but neither meet the mark of the clean OS.

I'm using a Google Pixel 6A (with a custom ROM at the moment). Other than the battery which I keep trying to find ways to remedy, it's been the best phone I've ever purchased (though to be fair, it's the most expensive phone I bought period).
Whether I'll stick to Google next time is kind of up in the air right now, I used to use a Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite, and while MIUI sucks in a couple of ways, there were also a lot of lovely perks I did really like, especially if you flashed your phone with xiaomi.eu instead xiaomi's official builds. Not to mention I could get a Poco F5 Pro for $460, which seems to tick all of the right boxes for me.
