Until they implement rules to stop businesses from just jacking up prices beyond their added costs to discourage this type of move, it won’t make a big difference. Businesses need to be as scared of the government as Chinese businesses are.

I'm actually surprised to see a number higher than the highest state minimum wage in the country.
Why? It'll fail. "We can't do that to businesses."
Because then they can blame inflation on that law/Democrats.
They'd do that anyway. No discretionary / deficit spending unless they're in power.
