You know the lady that developed the paint brush design on paper cups didn't make a dollar from it? The company did like an internal contest and she "won"
I don’t game, nor do I use Windows or generally install software via random executables (package managers ftw) — all that to say, “do AI installation wizards really exist?”
I mean, generally package managers are hosted by a trusted party that screens execs before making them available. But yeah, still think about where you get your software from.
Blu-ray drives can be expensive, but USB DVD drives are only ~$20.
I'd also expect anyone who would care about the "physical" edition of the next GTA only being a download code in the box would have a disc drive on the device they wanted to install it on.
Okay how big did they say the game is gonna be? Can’t be more than 200 GB
So only 4, 100 packs… and a slot loading drive with a robot arm. We can do this ;-)
200 GB / 5 GB = 40 GB
That pack is enough for two copies
Why does this look like a stack of tuna cans
Because the last time you saw that packaging was the 90’s and those colors were everywhere 😆

they should ship the game on this
no AI instalation wizard? no paywall? no internet connection required? no face scan based age verification? 🥺👉👈

btw “package manager” is just a way to categorize your “random” execs. plenty of nonsense sneaks in. please still review your exec sources.

That's why the Microsoft store is the best place to get applications on windows./s
If they don't yet, I'm certain they will in the near future.
an AI installation wizard is one of those openclaw bots installed on your machine with root permissions and you tell it to install firefox
So a package manager with extra steps? Even windows has a package manager so what's the point of an AI install wizard?
Shareholders
Just sell it on an SSD. That way even the regular version is over $100.
I hope it ships with a dvd drive too, because no one has those any more.
I have one that plugs into my PC via USB port. I still listen to my audio CDs with it. I also was ferried to school on the backs of dinosaurs.

or they just want to complete a collection. even if the physical media contains a code and some map pdfs etc.
