Ireland still needs to make laws against smoking on the street. There needs to be walled off and ventilated smoking areas. It doesn’t matter what you enjoy/can’t kick, standing at the doorway of a restaurant and puffing away is pretty rude.
…and I can see some people on this community aren’t ready to hear that.
Smoking in a doorway of a restaurant or pub is already illegal in Ireland. Our culture of 25% of the population actively getting a kick out of making life worse for everyone else and thinking that this is justified by our history and culture; and the other 75% being terrified of starting anything because we no longer have guardians of the peace able to... guard the peace, is fully at fault.

Just about everyone in Ireland I talk to, including smokers, don’t like street smoking either.
Its one of the few reasons I would be against legalising weed tbh, I cannot stand the stench of it being everywhere.
Smoking sucks sure but I dont have it everywhere ad I dont know of street smoking laws even being discussed, seems pretty niche.
