It's been ages since I saw it (probably in the 80's), but they usually don't re-run old series like that unless they're pretty solid. I can barely remember what it was like, though.
It's aged really well.
It's aged like all magic by things floating on a wire shows back in the day. But the writing is sharp and the pacing is good.
You can see the rewrites right away. Long term characters from episode one never show up again, the land lady goes from a mom to woman with no family. My understanding is that later in the series they start recycling plots too often. But so far it's been good.
