This is cute, but wouldn't say it's relevant to cats. If their nails are that long they probably wouldn't be making that noise. Now dogs on the other hand, yes. Though I am guilty of not trimming my own cats nails, I provide them a cat tree to pull on and it keeps their claws at bay. Also, my orange cat bites his nails and it's the craziest thing I've seen a cat do. Maybe he picked up the bad habit from watching me anxiously bite my own. ๐คท๐ปโโ๏ธ
Cats usually keep their claws retracted until needed. If their claws are clacking on the floor, they're probably in need of a trim. Or they're just not getting enough traction. The second one can be funny, especially if they get scared by a pickle.

I can hear my orange coming from the other end of the hallway. He doesn't have claws, he's got scythes.
Make sure they don't grow full circle into his paws
We check him regularly, but he's a very active outdoor cat, so he's all good so far. Might need to trim them when he's old and tired.
The first time I noticed this when I moved to the new place I was stoned out of my mind and recalled resident evil.
