words. i have extremely low self-esteem. so words mean an awful lot.

gifts are nice and all, but when I close my eyes at night to sleep I can't take those with me.

words I can think back on and feel warm. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Iโ€™m a middle aged white guy. Most of the time a stranger talks to me in public itโ€™s to ask me for money or try to convert me. But twice this year someone just wanted to compliment my outfit. I was flying high from that for days and still smile thinking about it.

So, thoughtful words every time.

99% of the time, words.

Gifts are a wonderful thing, but the right words at the right time can change a life, or make one a bit more bearable

Thoughtful actions, I need very little in material means and I can get the few things myself. Thoughtful words are nice (though with my history words often ring hollow), but thoughtful actions are what can make me very happy

Even if someone can come up with a million things to gift me, I'd still choose words. They were the thing that saved me once. And, in fact, I'd love to be the one who's words help someone. I had it too nice for a long while so... might as well help others out :3
