Photos show Trump’s name removed from Kennedy Center facade

New photos of the Kennedy Center show Donald Trump’s name has been taken down from the building’s facade after a monthslong court battle and the recent addition of a tarp blocking public viewing of the removed signage.

Scaffolding and a tarp erected June 13, a day after a federal judge’s deadline to remove Trump’s name from the iconic performing arts center, have hidden the removal from the public.

Mallory Miller, a former Kennedy Center employee and a co-founder of the activist group Hands Off the Arts, which provided the photos to NBC News, said she thinks the tarp’s continued presence is an intentional act to spare Trump’s ego.

“What is clear to me is the Trump administration does not want to see that building without Trump’s name on the facade before they could go through all their appeals,” Miller said Monday night.

Lots of people showed up to see it getting removed and Mr Toddler in charge couldn't handle it.

I especially like how the narcissist's inability to accept any loss, however small, has caused this story to linger on and on.

We'd have all forgotten it already if he'd just shrugged and moved on. Does Barbra Streisand still perform?

If the quality of work in the reflecting pool is any indication, it’s a good thing his name was taken down before the double sided tape they put it up with gave out.

They would never pay for double sided tape, it was used chewing gum.

And the invoice would read as such...

stick of gum: $100k
professional chewer: $200k
application of one letter: $500k

Amazing but typical that everyone knew they were removing it, so Pumpkin tried hiding it with a tarp.

Remove his name from EVERYTHING. When he's out, Congress should pass a law making it illegal to name anything after Donald Trump, except sewage treatment plants.

Seriously, they should officially put that exception in the law.

6

That's just taking good sewage treatment plants away from John Oliver.

Trump can have an insignificant swampy asteroid named after him.

A mob needs to do a blitzkrieg attack on the scaffold, throw ropes to the top, and pull it over, and blast it all over the Internet. It would be an enormous propaganda boom for the Left, and a serious slap to Trump.

He wants vandals, let's give him vandals. Except we'll rehab HIS vandalism. Yank down those banners with his face, for another.

2

They just put away people for 50 years on “terrorism” charges for lighting off fireworks and slashing a few tires.

We are past stunts like this. Drawing blood is the only option left if the punishment is the same anyway.

2

Mob? No sir, that would be illegal.

A peaceful tour of the building would be better.

Example of a peaceful tour of the building, apparently:

3

Why doesn't someone just go tear that thing down and have someone standing by to take pictures? We need to see a full frontal picture showing the remnants of Trump's name with the remaining name still in place. That would be a propaganda goldmine image that could be all over the Internet as long as it was framed as an example of removing the stain of the Trump administration from our lives.
