A scientist is using alien microbes in his experiments but he dies before the work is finished. An aging actress injects herself with the microbial serum, hoping to become young again, but it transforms her into a hideous bug alien instead.

The plot synopsis sounds like the movie Species.
A cheapo AIP monster flick that was co-directed by the prince of B-movies, Fred Olen Ray. With Ray's involvement, it shouldn't come as a surprise that there's quite a bit of nudity in Evil Spawn. What is surprising, however, is that it also has pretty great prosthetic/practical FX work.
Costumes have gwar vibes.
