Navee Scooter Privacy? Is it possible? :/
I found a reverse engineering project on github for the st3 pro which needs 1% of the permissions but works just fine. https://github.com/pepperonas/navee-st3-pro
So I recently got a gt5 max and after setting her up with the app I actually read the privacy policy and saw it straight up states it will track your location and share it with LAW ENFORCEMENT without even a warrent. In addition to this I use a app from fdroid to lock down internet access to some apps like Finch but it would not work on the Navee app. In the privacy policy it says something to the effect of we will REROUTE THE INTERNET as needed if access is blocked. Nuh uh. Not doing that. That sure is some forsight tho...
If anyone has more info can you please share?
This sort of creepy shit is why I will not buy anything that requires an app or can wirelessly communicate with outside services. I hope you can find a way to make this less bad and that others learn to avoid companies that do stuff like this. You could try using it with an offline phone maybe?
I've featured your comment in the community in the hope that it gets more views and responses. Thanks for posting!
Thank you!
