The US is definitely not stronger than any of the favorites in this tournament. It would take an inordinate amount of luck and possibly briberies to achieve that.

It's certainly not impossible, few things are in a cup competition. Nonetheless they really need to get past several heavy hitters to get there. That is a very tall order.
