How do those who deny that US subordinates its interests to Israel explain Israel's sabotage of the MOU by refusing withdrawal from Lebanon?
US officials had to beg Iran to the table in order to prevent a global economic depression. Now they are offering that Iran keeps the Strait of Hormuz and a 300 billion reconstruction fund. But even with all this Israel is sabotaging the deal - an ally completely dependent on US aid is refusing to allow the US to conduct diplomacy.
How would you explain it, if Israel is secretly doing what the "US empire" wants? Why wouldn't the US just continue the war if that's what it wanted? Deniability for voters? Voters won't care when their gas prices stay high.
To me it's clear that this the inability to control Israel is due to the Israel lobby making it impossible to oppose Israel in US politics.
USA still giving Israel money and planning to merge armed forces. It's verbal prestidigitation.
Or maybe they're just doing whatever TF they want and hoping the orange muppet with no spine will predictably let his narsesistic need to always be the aggressor/tough guy drag us back to being the big champion protectors...
