A pretty big upheaval here for the SNP in the NE. And a big middle finger to Labour too. So close to Holyrood, the tactical voting picture was bound to be clearer, but there is a clear message here for Swinney: take no votes for granted

Too many Audi's, Land Rovers, BMWs, and American pickups on finance for people to vote rationally. So they lap up Tory lies about "drill baby drill" instead, to continue living in their delusion that we can keep burning oil without consequences.
But aye, at least it wasn't Reform I guess. Silver linings and all.
It is easy to categorise Aiberdonians as a bunch of oil barons who were shit with their cash, but successive governments have exploited the people of Aberdeen and it's proximity to oil and have now left them to rot in essence. They are now in a post-industrial decline, and managing this will take more than words, which is all the SNP have had to offer, and largely all they can - WM still hold pretty much all the levers

But aye, there has been mass exploitation, with the city not benefiting anywhere near as much as it should from the wealth it created. Voting for our exploiters isn't going to fix that though.

Given they only got list seats, fptp was always going to be a long shot. They just seem to have bottom scrapers for candidates too. Not a huge surprise given their platform, but the best and the brightest know to stay away from toad face
