.......I'm confused. Who is this community for? Is this a fetish thing? A hippie thing? A csn't afford socks and shoes thing?
It's for folks who prefer not wearing shoes for a variety of reasons - none of which have anything to do with fetish. It used to be associated with hippies. But it was a long time ago.
It's just a lifestyle choice.
I hate socks. bare feet on clean floors is about the best feeling, only outdone by being in the yard barefoot.

It can also be a hippie thing, I think. I at least used to know a hippie chick when I was younger and she insisted on walking barefoot everywhere, even on paved city streets. Though that may just have been her personal thing I guess 🤷♀️
I know several people who wear shoes as little as possible, my uncle included. I used to work with a guy whose feet got reds and irritated when he wore shoes. 🤷🏼♂️
Aw, and here I thought it was about barefoot shoes... Just bought my first pair after thinking about it for a few years.
What brand did you choose?
The cheapest :P SAGUARO. I actually thought it was Spanish and only on the packaging I saw it's a Chinese product. I just want to try it out and be able to trash it if I don't like them, didn't want to risk with something more expensive. I know that it's possible that more expensive shoes might be a better fit but still.
They seem nice. I have feet the size of a yeti, so i'll have to look around.
IF you got wide feet, Lems and Zero do pretty good. Lems I know goes to 15, but I'm just a 12
