The whole sector is fucked. Terrible funding model and that American-style approach of bloated, highly paid admin function. Meanwhile, lecturers are poorly paid and students need to take on huge amounts of debt
Well, Scottish folk have SAAS. So it's not huge amounts of debt.
It's more than it needs to be. Also, unis sold off their accommodation to private companies, so you need to take student loans to pay for your accommodation and get a job so you can eat.
