there was a time i went to the cinema for every 3D movie. i quickly learnt how long the trailers and ads take and always showed up "late" right during the last trailer/ad. it was before covid tho. haven't been since

One of the places I lived earlier had a policy that the movie starts at the advertised time. Ads and trailers would start before the given time, accordingly.

Sometimes the ads go for 40 minutes past the scheduled start time. I don’t go to theaters anymore.
