I was watching it on the Dutch public network and they cut to commercials before the players were fully off the pitch and returned when the ball was all but rolling. The worst part is that they pay like 200% of the going rate to make sure they get the bid.

I then switched to the Belgian sports channel which not only had higher bit rate and 50fps, but also hardly any commercials, just kept rolling during the hydration break and even during halftime only showed a few brief commercials and just kept blabbing about Messi the rest of the break. All this with half the budget the Dutch public stations have.
