He had FeLV (like AIDS on cats) and developed a long tumor, vets couldn't do much more than making confortable, there's no cure for FeLV.
He had a happy life, unfortunately was a short one.
Aw man, too precious. I used to be friends with a neighbour's cat, also a void, and she would do almost anything to reach that hand. Except jump. I never was able to get her to lift all 4 feet off the ground to do it, but she would tippy-toe to an absurd level.
She was a great cat, so very affectionate for anyone who tried to pat her. I miss that lump, but I appreciate the reminder of her cuteness! And I'm glad your kitty is just as happy and affectionate.
My cat used to do that too, also belly rub.
Unfortunately died a few days ago.
