It's not new. "Small lies on first dates" has been a thing forever.
I used to respond to "how tall are you?" with "5'11 unless you ask my tinder profile, then I'm 6 foot" which usually got a chuckle
i say 182cm. gets them everytime.
im like 5'11" and change and I always respond 6ft. Never thought much of it until my brother had a kinipchin that I was just shy of 6 foot.
