I have the Reflex Lab light meter tapped onto my camera, I originally thought the built in metering on my F3 was off so I bought the reflex, but I actually just did a really shit job on my first roll of film. The built in meter on my F3 is actually pretty good. I use both the built in meter and the reflex to judge the ideal settings, they usually only differ by a stop.

I'll sometimes take 2 shots with slightly different settings, not so much anymore since it feels like a waste of film (sometimes). I still get a good portion of shots back that I'm not super happy with the settings I chose, but I'm getting better and they are usually at least okay. This comparison was on the same trip as the op, and one of the two times on 5 rolls of 35mm where I took two different exposures of the same scene during this trip. I like the bright one on the right but my partner actually prefers the dark one. I think this was only a stop difference on the shutter
