Aint a thing wrong with a 2004 Civic. Reliable, good mileage, and it doesn't spy on you.

It was the number one car for being stolen at one point. Then was Camry and Corolla.

No chop shop is stealing high end shit, cause no one that owns high end shit is buying used parts.

A 2004 350Z is more fun for the money anyway. Plus having a manual transmission pretty much makes it theft-proof (in the US). Never had an issue with parts getting stolen, either.

This guy has an amazing car, amazing mom and chocolate chip cookies. Winner all round.

you show up to a first date with cookies and say "my mom made these", you're going to be lucky to even get a first date.

it's a bright red flag.

Yes. Honestly even if they were grown up I would first put this in the โ€œstill has good relationship with local momโ€ column, a rare green flag these days. Only if part of a larger pattern of dysfunction would I treat it as a red flag.

But OOP is likely (A) a teenager, because moms donโ€™t usually know anything about their adult kidโ€™s vehicle, and (B) a boy, because this is obvious boomer humor. A mom knowing about their teenage sonโ€™s date is expected.

The gift of cookies just means she likes the gf and wants her to know. Green flag only.

Yeah, it absolutely depends on context. As a teenager, that's pretty cute. But at my age (mid-30s) I'd be weirded out that someone told their mom about me before we'd even had our first date.

What a questionable advice.

The lady interested in you, despite you drive such a car, is worth more than those you impressed with your poser-car. Money is nice, but not THAT important. Also a car say nothing of your net-worth.

When I went on dates back in the day, I bought a 1000 bucks car just for that.

You reached the end
