So the property, buildings, factories, etc are fake... But the little slips of paper the government issues is real?

Those are assets, not capital. Capital is pieces of paper representing ownership of ownership of assets. Its twice removed from assets. Money, or currency is only once removed. The confusing part is they are assigned a value that uses the same denomination as currency.

But you could argue when currency is no longer backed by an asset like gold, it also becomes capital.

Capital is a broad term that can describe anything that confers value or benefit to its owners, such as a factory and its machinery, intellectual property like patents, or the financial assets of a business or an individual.

Rather ominous for the SpaceX IPO.

Shame, SpaceX is probably a reasonable investment, but Nazi boy had to roll his twitter and xAI disasters into it (surprised he didn't roll Tesla in as well, but he can always do it later with the ironclad control). There are no good outcomes here.

It's probably contributing, they were so obviously scamming the market but trying to force it into the S&P to get exit liquidity, and it probably eroded a lot of whatever trust is left in the market

Agreed, if so, even more ominous. Sad when a scam at this level failing to be completely successful is what spooks the market.

probably a reasonable investment

No it's not, he said he won't be chasing profit to pay dividends because the goal is to put humanity on Mars... And he's retaining control. It's structured in such a way that he can't be voted out lol

He just says that stuff because historically he doesn't turn any company he touches, a profit. That's just sour grapes.

Tesla's profitable these days I believe, even despite his recent antics and the resulting drop in sales.

It would also have been profitable without him though. The only thing he really helped with was money at the beginning, the rest was stock price manipulation and stupid engineering decisions that are actually a net negative. And of course the company's image got tied to a nazi's.

3

Yeah, agree. The rule still applies, I feel, because the degree of profit from Tesla lost due to his antics, and general ways, is incredibly immense, cartoonish, even. He might come with money, but he's a wrecking ball. As soon as theres enough good replacements, Tesla will tank. Directly because of him.
