I have learned the best way to remember how to spell restaurant, for me, is to pronounce the Spanish word for it, "restaurante".

If you remove the 'e' it sounds the same as it is spelled.

It's funny that because I'm not a native English spelling 'restaurant' it's actually pretty easy because it's almost the same word in my first language. I do have problems remembering how to spell 'beautiful' for some reason.

I'm 60, and I've been a touch typist for over 40 years. My fingers can not remember that "their" is not "thier"

It just occurred to me that there might be a browser extension that does simple word replacement... hmm. Or maybe OS-wide?

Found one for Firefox/Librewolf: TextFast.

For many years, the word receive was in my computer password, I typed it so many times every day. Yet whenever I wanted to type it in a sentence I always still spelled it recieve

"Their" is about people. And the i and r look like little stick people. People gotta stick together like "their" and not "thier"
