A sense of stagnation is setting in around MLS. The league needs a World Cup bump
The 1994 World Cup transformed the domestic game in the US. MLS will hope a similar change can give the league a much-needed jolt

Get hype, MLS fans, because we're about to get a bunch of aging europeans coming into the league on overpriced contracts on the back of their world cup performances:
I know it's a dead end conversation that goes in circles, but I just don't see how the game gets fixed in the US without pro/rel.
Dead end conversation? Pro/rel is coming to USL in 28?
I know, but without the MLS involved we're looking at decades until, hopefully, we have a competitive pro/rel league on a wider scale. MLS just completely killed what could have been with their business model. I know they almost died and that dude in Dallas saved the league, but the world is different now and pro/rel would be amazing.
I love USL soccer but am super butthurt there aren't any year round teams in Seattle although my USL W Rhodies are crushing it, so that's lovely.
You really are -- y'all looked great against us on Sunday. I think y'all are legit gonna win the division.
The away game (for us) is gonna be a helluva rematch.
