This headline reminds me of how Chomsky talks about the corporate media talking about our foreign wars and how they are framed if they are backing off of them, or, later, want to downplay them: "mistakes were made" is typical phrase usage.

It was not miastaken, it was deliberate and targeted persecuation of a private indivdual by the state driven by psychotic ideology to appease a bigoted base. I'm pretty fucking tired of the AP sanewashing these obvious crimes, I've already seen 3 articles outta there today trying to create a rational discource of flagrant abuse of laws and norms by this admin.

Abrego Garcia was charged with human smuggling and conspiracy to commit human smuggling, with prosecutors claiming that he accepted money to transport within the United States people who were in the country illegally.

The charges stem from a 2022 traffic stop in Tennessee for speeding. Body camera footage from a Tennessee Highway Patrol officer shows a calm exchange with Abrego Garcia. There were nine passengers in the car, and the officers discussed among themselves their suspicions of smuggling. However, Abrego Garcia was eventually allowed to continue driving with only a warning.

For those trying to say he was some evil guy involved in human smuggling or trafficking, he had been sent by his employer, in a company-owned van, to pick up and take construction workers from one site to another. He wasn't "smuggling" or "trafficking" anybody, he was doing his job, and since it involved driving company property, and carrying company personnel, presumably he was a highly trusted and valued employee.

Just a little context on the "criminal monster" we're talking about here.

Why gee, it's almost like people who are getting deported should get their day in court. What a concept eh?

I hope he will be applying for his share of trumps slush fund for being a victim of the weaponization of government.

No you don't understand he's not a victim of the weaponization of the government. He's a terrorist and an enemy of the government. It's justified because he's not on my side. /s

“The evidence before this court sadly reflects an abuse of prosecuting power,” U.S. District Judge Waverly Crenshaw, in Nashville, Tenn., said in his ruling granting Abrego Garcia’s motion to dismiss for “selective or vindictive prosecution.” Without Abrego Garcia’s “successful lawsuit challenging his removal to El Salvador, the government would not have brought this prosecution.”

'Murica

Where cruelty and abuse of power is celebrated by ignorant white cunts who are afraid that if there's actually equal opportunities for everyone, they'll be shown up as the stupid and weak losers they are

12

It’s vital to keep in mind that it’s not just white people cheering this on. There are a loooooot of idiot self-hating minorities that vote for this in droves.

Mistakenly illegally deported

Fucking really? Just goes to show how easy it is to change the narrative.

10

For sure. They want you to read it as "accidentally" instead of "with malicious unlawful intent."
