paulhammond5155 replylemmy.world what’s hiding? Nothing hiding, the shadows reveal the overhanging erosion resistant material (calcium sulfate?) that once filled fractures in the rock. Without the shadows it would be hard to know they are not on the surface of the underlying rock :)1
