Rosette nebula 1st attempt

Hi everyone!

Tried my luck with the Rosette nebula with my stock Sony A6000. It's about 1,5 hours of data. The hydrogen red signal gets slashed by 75% by the sensor unfortunately, but I still wanted to give it a shot.

Stacked in Siril, then graxpert, then photoshop.

I'll be revisiting this one for sure. Feedback appreciated!

There's quite a lot of sharp detail there. As with all astrophotography, you now just need a lot more hours of data! It'll just get better

The main issue I ran into was the short integration meant I couldn't throw away the 40% of lights that had egg-shaped stars. I tried a stack and edit with just the best lights and the result looked much sharper but overall worse, so I conceded defeat and kept all of em.

Will get more next time!

Remember that you don't have to get them all in the same night. Siril can stack them when they're from different sessions.

You reached the end
