It's Hamburger Time! (tm) (by The Unknown Comic)
I think I'll start using that credit for the ones with an unknown editor. It's just for self-amusement, really, which dates to Gong Show episodes from the 70's. One of those old-skool thingies which grows on me, the more I watch it... <3
What a horrible curse.
The average American eats 44 burgers per year. That's a lot of arms
That's an arse-load of burgers, assuming mainly beef. oO
I bet the average person has less than one lamb burger per decade. I used to get ground lamb and make feta stuffed lambburgers a lot.
Pork burgers all but unheard of.
Goat burgers non existent.
Turkey burgers, rare but available. The people that eat them probably aren't doing beef.
Chicken burgers. Not a thing?
Then there are all the fake meat burgers. Eaten by very few.
Turkey burgers are actually pretty popular in this large, Midwest city. A variety of brands at the super, and pretty commonly seen on restaurant menus. I used to have them occasionally, before I got more alarmed by my cholesterol issues.
Fun fact for me is that I actually do snack on bean-based veggie burgers on the regular, sans bread. My favorite ones don't taste anything like meat of course, but they're surprisingly tasty, lightly grilled on my range. Others that go for the 'near meat' experience, I generally find pretty repulsive. They tend to be super-processed, super-salty and super-greasy. I'd much rather have some real shawarma / gyros, burgers, or beef chili than those suckers.
