KDE Plasma Mobile on Surface Pro 4
cross-posted from: https://lemmy.world/post/46861356
After a recommendation from Lemmy, I downloaded KDE mobile alongside plasma desktop to see if my touchscreen would work better. This took a little tinkering and figuring out but I really enjoy this interface. ^borrowed and reconfigured fastfetch theme from a Lemmy user (lost access to old account so I can't tag them, sorry ) ^ the slide-up app drawer for KDE Mobile. ^interatellar, gui client for Lemmy. ^Tuba, gui client for Mastodon.
I like the design!
I'm still running ubuntu/gnome, but I'm not very happy with the gnome experience...would you say it's worth it?
It worked pretty well, I spent LOTS of time tinkering instead of just using my device though. I actually just switched to gnome because KDE was grinding my computer to a halt. I would say it's a solid 7/10
Thanks!
Maybe I'll try Arch/KDE(basic) soon. Seems promising of what I heard...
I keep itching to try Arch on this. I use Mabox Linux on my normal doodad.
OH ALSO KDE is planning on HUGE updates to its onscreen keyboard in plasma 6.7 (due in July I believe) So I may jump back in for that!
