Probably don't have to tell anyone here, but stop using corporate bullshit-deia

How about just ditching Threads? If you don''t, you basically opted in to such shit.

I finally left SnapChat after it kept popping back up, and it was a lot less invasive than any Failbook derivative.

Snapchat. Haven't heard anyone mention it in a long while

Used it when WhatsApp fell apart, though they just kept making it worse, wasn;t a bad place for a while there. Enshitification abounds, though.

So what the.article is saying is there would be no impact if Threads users just disappeared tomorrow.

Y'all, if you use corporate social media you know what you're getting. We're twelve years past the whistleblowers telling you your FB algorithm is designed to manipulate you. You know their product is shit.

The worst company ever existed is meta that's for sure ... They'd terminate or suspend your account for using VPN and demand you to submit your Government ID .. plus an Ai automated system.... "Unless you pay so you can finally communicate with a human agent" Everybody should be careful about that data harvesting company their greed is out of control

I think I block too much stuff with uBlock.. Not just adds, everything that annoys me.

...a number of Threads users have discovered its not possible to opt out of the feature or block chatbot's the account.

At least it's probably not written by AI.

Never used any of the Zuckerbot crap and I prefer to suck my ellbow before doing it. I even blocked all pages related on the web.

For messenger and chats are way better alternatives, eg. this one, out of the reach of any creedy corps, AIs or gov sniffings.

You reached the end
