Celebrating CoMaps' first birthday
Today we are celebrating our first birthday! ๐ฐ๐
As it's been a very busy year โ full of new community members, new features, and more โ we've written up a summary of all the things that have happened.
And to give all of you a small gift: If you press the Check Updates button in the 2026.05.06 version of CoMaps, you'll find some freshly updated maps that were quietly released for you yesterday!

And if you want to join our birthday celebration community call, it'll happen today at 19:00 UTC, more details here: https://codeberg.org/comaps/comaps/wiki/First-anniversary-celebrations
While I appreciate the sentiment it would be nice if it did. Especially with the freedom to use your own local supplier with their provided design. In that case if I'm buying the T-shirt from them at that point, by all means make some kinda of revenue from this.
The problem is that it becomes a bureaucratic overhead compared to simple donations, as then we'd become a vendor selling stuff for profit!
Oh fucking fuck, that's some unfortunate bullshit. It makes sense on your part now. Thanks for clarifying.
no problem! donations via https://opencollective.com/comaps and https://liberapay.com/CoMaps are always an option that's a lot easier for us! :)
A huge thanks to the ~25 folks that joined us for our virtual birthday party yesterday and made it a really great event! ๐ฅณ Covering a range of 14 time zones, it really showed how global our community is. ๐ Over the course of around 2.5 hours, we were joined by some long-standing CoMaps contributors, active members of the #OpenStreetMap community, and many new faces!
Sorry I missed the party. Just started using comaps and it's great
