John Williams is like fucking Atlas carrying the whole Star Wars franchise through all the nonsense it's gone through over the years.

Although Andor has some of the best music (and everything else) without Williams. Still, his music is amazing. Andor is able to improve on it because they know what they're doing and care, but Williams is able to make a nearly perfect soundtrack even for bad movies.

Really liked the opening music in Jedi: fallen order.

Anyways, carry on.

Hmm.

Thanks for the drop, somehow I missed that it was by the Hu… and yeah, they’re a great band.

I was supposed to see them a couple years ago. They were opening for Iron Maiden but had equipment troubles just before the show and had to cancel last minute. I was pretty disappointed, but Iron Maiden still gave a kick-ass show which somewhat made up for it. I’d still really like to see them at some point.

We all agree that Duel of the Fates is at least top 3 in the franchise sound track, right?

I enjoyed the updated musical number added to Jabba's Palace in the Episode 6 special edition.

For Star Trek the top panel would be Discussions about the theme to Enterprise and the bottom would be discussions about any other theme to a trek series.

Except they did everything they could with editing to dilute, reframe, or completely misuse the maestro's music in the suckquels.

All of the leitmotifs are screwy, including changing Yoda's theme to the "lifting the X-wing from the water" theme and turning the main theme into "some stuff from the OT is on screen" maybe?

Delightful breakdown: https://youtu.be/L_8-dWSLDWI

The way they riffed on/tributes to/blatantly stole morricone's theme from 'the battle for Algiers' for the main theme of andor was a really great touch but does make star wars a western and the empire french

I heard that even Disney wants to forget about them. There's a rumor they will make new movies retconning the JJ trilogy off the canon.

I heard Lucas is planning a comeback to make a Sequels: Special Edition that fixes everything. Boba Fett will be added into deleted scenes he was never in in the first place, there’ll be more X-Wings at Exegol, the musical number at Maz’s will be re-recorded with a new singer, and most importantly, Han will now shoot first and the rest of Ben’s story is moot.

The Destruction of Xizor's Palace is peak.

I also can’t stress enough how amazing this soundtrack was to us 90s geeks who thought the OT soundtrack was all we were ever going to get. It was the first fresh new SW music in a long time.

SotE was an underrated gem. Imperial Sewers was my favorite track for a long time.

It's one of the few titles that I feel deserves a remake.
