Gee - I wonder why they are so insistent you install their app on your phone that you carry with you everywhere with cameras, microphones GPS etc… rather than letting you use a website from a potentially secure browser?
There must be a reason, I just can’t put my finger on it.
This is not new. It has some years happening. I hate use reddit in mobile browser. I don't have an account but there are sometimes that I have to read something there.
You have to either keep clearing your cache and cookies, use the picker option in ublock origin and disable the pop up, or use old.reddit.com to get around the blocks on mobile.
I prefer lemmy, myself. Way easier to use the Voyager app, imo.

Not to mention, you can't install an ad-blocker on their app, like you can on your phone's browser.
